Gahh! I forgot to take a ‘Before’ pic, but this is a New Wayfarer that came to us with a temple that had broken off. The metal hinge had come off the plastic so welding was not an option. We bonded it instead. You can still see the work on the inner part of the temple arm. People won’t notice the work done as its in the inside of the frame.

We replaced the lenses on this pair of classic, Clubmaster sunglasses. The lenses we replaced them with were not original Ray-ban lenses, but are optical quality. We were also able to straighten the nose pads, though the customer preferred them with one pad arm a little higher than the other. See below.

My wife and I watched this awesome movie recently called, ‘A Simple Plan’. I hadn’t really ever heard of this movie and have never heard anyone talk about it, but, Wow….what a movie! I don’t know how this movie flew under the radar. What a great cast and what a well-written movie. Billy Bob is an excellent actor! I used to dig Bill Paxton’s character in ‘Aliens’…..so funny.

Anyway, at some point in the movie, I noticed the DIY eyeglass repair technique that Billy Bob’s character had employed……boy, what a flattering look! Haha! People, don’t resort to this makeshift glasses repair look. I know he wore eyeglasses with tape at the bridge to be in character, (Billy Bob is an awesome actor, did I mention that?), but, there are better ways to fix the bridge on your eyeglasses than to resort to taping it. A simple online search will yield many results that can help.

I applaud anyone’s ingenuity for trying to fix their glasses, but, sometimes you don’t get the results you expected. For instance, last summer, I did some tree trimming at my house. On more than one occasion, I remember thinking that if I fell off the ladder, I might break my neck! Who would support my family? By the time I was done (it took the whole weekend), my property looked better, but, it wasn’t as neat as I thought it would be. My point is, sometimes it’s best to let the pros handle it.
